ABS AIRBAG® s.CAPE Compact

INTEGRATED SKYLOTEC® HARNESS

The ABS® base unit contains the heart of the legendary ABS® backpacks: the airbag system. The s.CAPE base unit is smaller and even lighter than the famous s.LIGHT series and convinces with many innovations for ambitious professionals and athletes. The highlight here is the SKYLOTEC® high tour harness, integrated for the first time in an avalanche backpack, which is suitable for rope, crevasse and helicopter retrievals. Thanks to the horizontal snowboard support, directly on the user's back, and the ski support, nothing stands in the way of any further ascent. The shoulder straps are extremely comfortable and the fit is also suitable for small athletes, making the s.CAPE base unit a must-have for all freeride, ski touring and mountaineering enthusiasts. In gray-black, the new ABS® s.CAPE unit perfectly matches the ABS® s.CAPE ZipOn.

ROLL TOP CLOSURE SYSTEM
The two ZipOns of the ABS® s.CAPE have a packing volume of 10 to 14 or 30 to 34 liters. The volume can be changed from four liters as needed using the integrated roll top. Emergency equipment is nevertheless quickly accessible via a separate compartment. The two ZipOns available in Storm Black can be combined with all compact ABS® base units (p.RIDE compact, s.LIGHT compact, s.BIKE compact).

HORIZONTAL MOUNTING ON SNOWBOARD
The horizontal support for snowboarding is a particularly interesting and useful innovation for mountaineers with snowboards. The horizontal position makes it easier to climb because the board and the backpack's feet don't get in the way. In addition, the snowboard is positioned directly on the back for a comfortable distribution of weight and balance.

DOUBLE SECURITY WITH ABS® TWINBAGS
With the TwinBag system, ABS® is the only manufacturer to provide double safety with two completely independent airbags. Both airbags are independently filled with separate valves and hold air independently - if one valve or airbag is damaged, there is always a second one left. Avalanches don't just happen on the gentle slopes of meadows. On the contrary: obstacles such as stones, boulders, mountain pines and broken trees can be found in the collision lane. With a single airbag without separate chambers, a crack in the airbag shell is enough to completely lose the function of the entire system! ABS® has the most practical experience and therefore exclusively uses TwinBag technology with two independent airbags.
